Arkarian pulled out his wallet and tossed a few bucks to the cashier. He then picked up both the bags of food and waited by the door for Daila.

"Now where too?" He asked her seeing as he wasn't holding the list any longer.

Arkraian kinda awkwardly held the list and both bags of food in his arms. He looked at it for a second and then said, "Off to get some fertalizer, and some bread." He left, holding the door open with his heel, so that she could get out.

"I'm fine. After all, I'll need whatever strength I can get if the day comes that I get sent to the Arena." He said to her even though he knew that wasn't the right way to say it. He hated the thought of going to the games but he knew that there was always the possiblity of it. Well if it did happen then he sure hoped that Daila wasn't sent in with him. For some reason he couldn't bear the thought of actually having to kill her.

Arkarian walked next to her in awkward silence for a few minutes. Soon they had gotten some fertilizer and were headed to the bakery before Arkarian finally asked her something. "How would..you feel if I was chosen as a tribute for the games?" He asked her, hesitating a bit.

"Um well i would probably volunteer for you since i would feel like im losing something more important then myself" i said awkwardly. More silence happened to come.

Arkarian walked quietly and thought about her answer. The problem was that Daila couldn't volunteer for him even if hse wanted to. The treaty was very clear when it said 'one boy and one girl'. She would've had to volunteer for whoever was chosen as the girl's tribute and then he would just hate that. He didn't want Daila to be sent into that arena. That death trap. "Promise me something, ok?" He asked her.

Wow stupidy thats why mom tells me to listen one boy one girl wow im stupid i thought to myself. "ok i promise" i said to Arkarian.

"Good. Because if it came down to just me and you, then I wouldn't be able to bring myself to intentionally hurting you." He said to her smiling a bit. They had made it to the bakery and quickly got the bread and the silence returned as the walked home..

"No problem. It was nice to meet you, Daila." He said to her and handed her the bird feed, that he was still carrying. He turned and started to walk home himself, somewhat hoping she would ask him to come with her and meet her parents. 'Wait. What? Why the heck am I thinking that?' He thought to himself.

Arkarian sighed and stopped. He turned back to her and called asking, "Hey, anything else you need help with? MY parents are used to me coming home late."

"You sure they won't mind?" He asked her not really wanting to be a bother. His heart, however, was racing at a mile a minute, it seemed.

Arkarian walks into town, next to Daila. He looks around for some stuff to do, but soon sees nothing and remains silent. After a few minutes he asked Daila, "You need anything from one of the stores?"
