The Town Square

Bryn enters the center of town. She had a list of things she needed to buy. But she wasn't in the mood. There was a vacant bench in the middle of town. Even though it looked very gross, it was still a bench. Bryn walked over to it, and sat down.

I walked to the center of town. Seing a girl sitting on the bench (the gross one) i walked towards her. "Hey i'm Katniss Everdeen and you are?" i asked the girl.

Bryn frowned, she didn't expect someone to walk up to her. "Oh, well, I'm Bryn. Bryn Skyey." The poor girl, with barely anything. She added in her head.

"Nice to meet you" i said to Bryn. "You have any siblings?" i asked her curiously.

Bryn looked down, not wanting to show her eyes. They were red, and she didn't want Katniss to think she was a freak. "None, just me. Do you ?" She asked, her voice had a curious edge to it.

"Yeah i did before she got blasted to pieces" i told Bryn. "Are you okay?" i asked seing Bryn with her head down.

Bryn made a face, of disgust. She didn't like violence that much. Bryn looked up, her red eyes glistening. "If you had my eyes, you wouldn't look up, either."

I stared at her suprised. "I would if people didnt accept me for who i was then i would just ignore them" i said to Bryn. "Dont bother asking about my sister its a long story" i said to Bryn.

Bryn grinned she wasn't expecting this response. "I wasn't planning on asking. I have a feeling this story would scare me. And, I don't pay attention to the Panem News." She said shrugging.

" Ohh it would scare you a bit " i laughed after i said that. Thinking that i said outloud "Have you ever been chosen to be in the anual Hunger Games?"

Bryn shook her head, no. "Never, but I want to be in. Just because I think I have a good chance at survival. Or at least, if I die I'm not missing much. It wouldn't be suicide, I just would want the prize. Food." Bryn said, shrugging.

"hmm yeah ive been in it" i said. "I went with Peeta it was supposed to be my little sister and him but i didnt want her to die but she did like i said before" i told Bryn.

Bryn knew Katniss and Peeta were in the Games. She was present at that reaping. "I know, I saw. But, Prim's death was probably more painful then dying in the games." Bryn said, guessing.

"Most likely" i said. "She got exploded by Gale" i murmured kinda sad.

Bryn gasped, even though she didn't know who Gale was. "The whole Panem was there, at the execution. I thought it was Snow and Coin."

Bryn shrugged, not shocked. "Yes I saw the murder."

Bryn shrugged, "I never met President Coin bit I heard she was wicked." Bryn was thoughtful. "I never pay attention to the rules. Could you be picked for the Hinger Games, again?"

"Well i wasnt exactly picked" i said. "My sister Primrose (Prim) was picked but i volunteered to go in her place" i explained to Bryn.

"Yeah, you volunteered. I saw" Bryn said, repeating herself from the earlier part of the conversation. "But, you won. But could you be chosen again."
