The man led then inside. "Seperate rooms or together?" He asked, as he stood in between three doors.

Rebel looked at Thomas, unsure.

Thomas thought about it. "together." he lookeda at Rebel. "You first, or me?"

The man opened the door. The room was quite large, to large for District Five.

Rebel took Thomas's hand, knowing they were already in the Games. "You.." She couldn't face her parents right now. It was to sad.

"Ok." He looked at the District Sponsor. "Send my dad in, please and thank you." His dad walked in eventually. The first thing he did was look Thomas over and held out his hands. "You know they won't let you take them with you." Thomas pulled out all 5 knives, and handed them over. as he did, his dad grabbed him, and embraced him tightly. "aaquit yourself Honorably," he said to his son. Thomas returned the hug. "I will, dad." He then released, and pointed at Rebel. "Dad, I'd like you to meet my girlfriend, Rebel." At this, dad laughed dryly. "Every time you get a friend, they get Reaped. Welcome to my Adolescent life, son." He touched the Evenstar at Thomas' neck. "your mother gave you this?"

"Before she died, yes. I'm wearing it as my Token."

Thomas smiled. He had an Allie. that was good. He looked her over, and wished she wasn't reaped. he would have wanted to marry her. his eyes got sad. he then pointed out her bow. "dad can take care of those..."

"Ill take it, all the same. You don't want the Capitol getting it's hands on it."

"I'll even try to hunt with it," He promised. now he had to survive this.

A Peackeeper came in, and grab Thomas's fathers arm. "Time's up." He pulled him out.

"Now we wait for my family.." Rebel said, quietly. SHe knew they would be here any second.

Thomas waited, not actually in the best of moods. Being Reaped did that to you. He hugged Rebel. "I'm scared."

Thomas shrugged. "who said I'm acting? I never could pretend..." He then realized he just admitted it. oops. well, what happened next was Rebel's family walked in.

Rebel blushed, she wasn't acting either. SHe stepped away when her parents walked in.

Josie, her mother, ran to Rebel and gave her a huge hug.

Her father stood by the door, glaring at Thomas. Gerade also seemed a bit shocked.

Thomas looked at the Family, but stayed silent. this wasn't his place to speak.

Rebel knew she wasn't going to survive. "Mom, dad, this is Thomas.." SHe gave her mom a look, and she understood.

Josie understood, she was quiet. She knew Rebel wasn't going to live. Josie didn't cry, she knew why Rebel would die, and ouldn't change it.

Gerade was clueless, but eventually caught on. "No.."

Thomas couldn't belive Rebel said she was going to die. He knew he wa going to die, most likely defending Rebel. "I won't Allow it. I'll protect you with my life!"

Rebel smiled sadly at Tom.

Josie saw Rebel's look. SHe knew Rebel would kill herself if it came doiwn to them two.

Gerade couldn't stand to be here, He was angry, and speechless. He stormed from the room.

Josie, turned and went to leave. "I'll miss you." SHe said, and walkjed out of the room, starting to cry.

"I.." The dad stormed out of the room, obviously piffed beyond comprehending. was it just Thomas, or washe angry at him?

Thomas sat down. "Maybe we should have had seperate meetings after all.." then, the buzzer sounded. Peacekeepers came in to escort the Chace family out. Thomas buried his head in his hands, upset that hem made her dad mad by meeting her.

Thomas chuckled with the dry humour of the Condemned. "Till the Next Reaping."
