Training

I walk in, wondering what i can do to mess with him.

I look around and decide this is the perfect chance, i get on a neighboring tree and jump off landing on the trainers head and jumping from there to get to a higher branch. although this gets me off balance and i fall with a thud.

" i'm no acrobat, mainly did that for the kicks." i start climbing the tree not catching up but keeping pace.

" i know, i had to though, he can't hurt us physically otherwise we won't be career material." I am halfway up now, going faster.

I reach it a few minutes later. out of breath. " my body isn't made for tree climbing."

" so, what do you think of this."

I climb down yelling. " have to go to district twelve now." i leave.

i step in with my trainer following close behind. i look around and notice a station where i can throw spears. smirking, i make my way towards it, watching the other career.

"hello," i say, without making eye contact. instead, i focus my gaze on the spears and choose one.

i meet the girl's eyes. she looks around my age, so maybe we could be acquaintances, maybe even friends. "my name's oceanus." i look at the dummy and back down at the spear. i throw it, hitting the dummy where it's skull would be.

"what are you good at?" i look back up at sailor with a brow raised.

i laugh a little. "i'm not good with tridents. i mainly work with knives, knot-tying, and spears. because of all the fishing we have to do around here."

"this is boring." i notice my trainer isn't watching me, but asleep in the corner. "like always." i smile. "are there any more careers?"
